LIGHTHOUSE FLASHING BEACON N5110 Located End of Main Pier – Folkestone Harbour Temporarily Extinguished

Mariners are advised that the Lighthouse at Folkestone Harbour is temporarily extinguish due to a technical fault – Trinity House and the Coastguard have been informed. When entering or leaving the port mariners should exercise caution and proceed at their discretion.

STORM DEBRIS CLOSE TO HARBOUR ARM EAST SIDE

Mariners are advised that debris blown off the Harbour Arm is located close to the quay edge approximately half way along the arm.

Until the position of this debris is formally established vessels should remain at least 30 meters clear of the quay edge until further notice.

STORM DEBRIS CLOSE TO HARBOUR ARM EAST SIDE

Mariners are advised that Notice to Mariners 3 of 2016 is hereby cancelled.

The majority of debris has been recovered and what remains is not considered to pose any danger to harbour users.

LIGHTHOUSE FLASHING BEACON N5110 Located End of Main Pier – Folkestone Harbour Normal Conditions Restored

Mariners are advised that normal conditions have been restored at the Lighthouse at Folkestone Harbour.

Mariners are advised that this light has a sector of visibility from 030 through south to 270.

This light is obscured from 270 through north to 030.

PORT INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS

Mariners are advised that extensive refurbishments will be taking place on the viaduct separating the outer and inner harbours. This work will involve scaffolding which will overhang the existing structure.

It is anticipated that this work will continue from the present date to 31st March 2017. Updates will be issued as and when required.

Mariners should exercise caution when navigating in the area of this viaduct.

SEA CONTAINER AND STORM DEBRIS IN THE WATER (EAST SIDE OF HARBOUR ARM)

Mariners are advised that a sea container and other storm debris have been washed into the water from the east side of the Harbour Arm.

Mariners should be aware that this could possibly have drifted outside of the Harbour Limits as no sightings have been made of the Sea Container. Until this is located and marked extreme caution should be taken when entering and leaving the harbour.
